Serves 1

  • 3 – 4 Fresh sardines (depending on size)
  • 1 Small onion (finely chopped)
  • ½ Clove of garlic (crushed)
  • ½ tbsp. Crushed fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp. Fresh lime zest
  • 1 tbsp. Fresh lime juice


Clean and pat dry sardines and put into shallow dish. Mix together all other ingredients and sprinkle over fish. Leave to stand for 15 – 30 minutes and then grill until cooked through. Serve with green salad and yeast free bread.
